The mechanism of a hydrogen generator is
rather simple and based on the principle of electrolysis of water. This is

electrolysis reaction takes place.

(an anode and a cathode). The ion

At anode (positively charged electrode)

4H+ + 4e = 2H2
At
cathode four hydrogen ions that are produced in anode gain four electrons and
form two hydrogen molecules. The oxygen produced in the process is allowed to
pass in the atmosphere.
